Tony’s role: expert witness acting for Brady South Melbourne Pty Ltd (the developer), engaged and instructed by Maddocks.
Description: The matter involved combustible cladding installed at a seven-storey mixed-use (predominantly apartment) development. The cladding included aluminium composite panels with a fire-retardant compound in their core (ACP FR).
Tony was instructed to provide an opinion on whether the combustible cladding was compliant. He issued an expert report in January 2019 and gave evidence at the hearing in February 2019. At the Board’s request Tony provided a supplementary report in February 2019. The Board’s decision was published later that month.
