Tony's role: expert witness for Watpac Construction (NSW) Pty Ltd (the builder), engaged and instructed by Maddocks.
Description: The Trio building comprises three adjoining high-rise apartment towers with a rise in storey of 22. The combustible cladding comprises aluminium composite panels with a fire-retardant compound in their core (ACP FR).
Tony was instructed to provide an opinion on whether the combustible cladding was compliant. He issued an expert report in April 2021. The matter was settled in December 2021.
