Tony’s role: expert witness for Buildcorp Commercial Pty Ltd (the builder), engaged and instructed by Barry Nilsson.

Description: The building has a basement car park and three storeys of residential apartments. The combustible cladding includes expanded polystyrene (EPS) and Conpolcrete, which is a blend of cement mixed with EPS. This is a cladding matter with additional alleged defects related to the Essential Safety Measures (ESMs).

Tony was instructed to provide an opinion on whether the alleged defects were in fact defects. He was also instructed to outline a workable repair methodology. He issued an expert report in July 2022 and a supplementary report in December 2024. The matter is ongoing.
